Weekly Aqua Therapy
Our MS Wellness Program includes weekly aqua therapy, designed specifically for people living with MS. Exercising in water helps build confidence in a safe, accessible environment; improve mobility and flexibility, reduce joint stress and fatigue; enhance balance and strength, and support cardiovascular health
Beyond physical benefits, our program fosters connection and community — participants consistently share that the relationships formed here are just as important as the movement itself.

About the YWCA MS Wellness Program
YWCA Central Maine’s MS Wellness Program provides a welcoming, supportive environment for individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis. We focus on improving strength, mobility, balance, and overall wellbeing while building meaningful connections among participants
This program is the first of its kind in Maine and was developed in partnership with and with guidance from medical and physical therapy staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, along with support from community partners. The program emphasizes activities to promote functional mobility, independence, and symptom management to foster health of mind, body, and spirit.
