Connectivity Hub at YWCA

YWCA Central Maine is launching our Connectivity Hub on September 8, 2026, thanks to funding from the Maine Connectivity Authority. This hub is integral to closing the digital equity gap in Maine.

We will offer:

  • access to free high-speed wifi with 24 onsite computer stations and 10 loaner laptops

  • digital skills and workforce development training via onsite and remote workshops

  • Social services resources, in collaboration with our community partners, to those most impacted by the ongoing digital divide

  • Access is generally first-come, first-served, unless space is reserved for scheduled programming, training sessions, or partner activities.

Maine faces a critical challenge in technical and digital skills. Via a core partnership with Maine Connectivity Authority, we share a vision for Maine where all of us have the reliable and affordable connection, devices, skills, and online security we need to take full advantage of the economic, educational, health, civic, social, and other benefits that the internet provides. Removing barriers to digital access is our goal!
