A Safe Place To Talk…
The YWCA Intervention Services provide comprehensive intervention counseling, support, and parent education and prevention services for youth. All inquires are strictly confidential. The Intervention office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with other times available by appointment.

Adolescent Counseling
For ages 13-19
"People cannot read your mind, sometimes you need to talk about things."
Individual and group counseling and support offered for substance abuse, divorce, grief and loss, school and family issues. Fees are based on a sliding scale, starting as low as $5.00 an hour.

Adolescent Pregnancy & Parenting Services
A collaborative program with RCAM and Advocates for Children's and Healthy Family Child Health Center program Parents Place.

If you or someone you know is pregnant and or a parenting teen (up to age 25), this APP program can help. Free services include pregnancy testing, alternatives counseling, individual home visits, and parenting classes for young moms & dads. Emergency baby supplies, clothes, diapers, etc. are available. There is no waiting list and no fee for education services.

Family Mediation
A process guided by a professional who assists families in resolving conflicts and learning to have soft conversations about hard topics. The goal is to come to an agreement which is considered fair by each family member. Mediation is free, voluntary and confidential. Evening appointments are available.

"Adolescents" Parenting Wisely Program
This is a computer and/or video parenting skills series, offered through the Family Mediation Project or self-administered. Parenting Wisely is designed to help parents answer common parenting questions:
How can you encourage cooperation from your children?
What will improve relationships among family members?
How do you get a teen to listen?

Anger Management
Learn coping skills to deal with your anger & frustration, better understanding emotions and to communicate them.

Attention Deficit Disorder
Learn coping mechanisms versus excuses for your behavior. Support around learning styles.

Parents with Angry Teens
Find support, coping strategies, and conflict resolution skills for your family.
