Locally
For 125 years, the YWCA of Central Maine has offered more than 130 programs and services which increase the capabilities and improve the lives of women, teens, children, and families of all faiths and backgrounds. Our YWCA facility and program capacity allows many services to be offered to men, including dads. Some of these services include swimming, preschool, child care, and family intervention and support programs. YWCA programs also address common social and personal concerns and provide special opportunities to work together to meet community needs.

YWCA leaders are committed to making sure services stay relevant and accessible to individuals and families of all economic means.

Nationally
YWCAs provide personal development programs to over 2,000,000 women and their families in all 50 United States. YWCA members and volunteers also serve as catalysts for progressive social changes working together to achieve our national mission.

Globally
The YWCA is a worldwide women's membership movement at work in over 400 associations throughout the United States and in 88 countries across the world. We are an active, moving, vital, and responsive organization dedicated to empowering women and eliminating racism.
